I am working on the November contest. I had the idea of a holiday background with a theme of sharing. I had the idea of one child giving their teddy bear to another while their shopping moms are oblivious. Or then, I had the idea of two kids giving a gift to an alien who came to investigate a Christmas tree. Would you please take a look at my thumbnails and tell me what you think of the designs and the concepts? Thanks!!4A5814B9-CDD8-45D3-AF94-BBA70F818251.jpeg (/assets/uploads/files/1573359336693-e89f0757-94d9-4dbf-b5c5-23c4df4cbef9-resized.jpeg) 707B1A0A-A573-4B5C-825B-B1039044C5FF.jpeg EC7B5939-91E4-4AEA-8195-511FA791029B.jpeg

@alicia I love the alien idea, my slowvember also is alien themed. As far as your thumbnails, I really like the last one. It has a nice flow to it. I also like how it is cropped.

I agree the last one because it's personal and it's the story you want to tell without additional distractions. the last ones got all the elements you want including the spaceship in the distance (reflects the distance away your aliens travelled in space). If you had a similar close one with the parents story that be something to look into too.

I like the idea of the two kids and oblivious Moms just because for me it’s more relatable to our experience but so far I think your alien thumbnails are better compositions. I’d love to see you keep playing with the children and Moms thumbnails and see if you could develop that theme.

@Heather-Boyd that’s very insightful. The intimacy is what’s missing from the kids.
This is the first time I’ve taken thumbnailjng seriously and it took me 9 iterations to get to the close cropped version! I finally see why they are important! I may try one of the kids in a similar close up format & then decide. Thank you!
