First time posting here. I didn’t realize that you have to get separate account to post to these forums. I hope I will still be accepted, it took a long time once I applied for the account to get the confirmation email.

This is my first full page illustration. I’m just starting my illustration journey. These courses have been very helpful!

Wow, thanks @deborah-Haagenson! I hope to win a contest one day, but I don't think I'm there yet. I always look at others' work and think "Wow! Now that's good!" But maybe that's the best way to go about the contests--just do our best work and stay curious. The contests are great motivators for improvement but honestly there is so much good work every month and it's fun to be in such an encouraging and motivating group!

@Braden-Hallett Love it! Especially the "inside joke" about the dog and how the whole thing is a loop. Those rocks look good enough to eat!
It also keeps bringing to mind of a space age version of The Little Prince. Different feel, but still a lot of similarities.

@LauraA I feel like being a part of this group is really helping me to improve. By looking at what's being done and what works, in my opinion anyway, is so valuable. Being one of the top 16 to me would be a huge milestone. I'm not expecting that yet this time, but I'll keep working at it. After that, with the round robin event, it's fun and valuable to hear what Will, Lee and Jake have to say, but no matter how good your piece is it might not make it through.
