      I thought I would share a trick/tip I started to use on my latest piece which is helping me out a lot. To easily check your values in Photoshop create a hue/saturation adjustment layer above the rest of your layers. Then set the saturation to zero. From there you can turn off and on that layer to check your values while you paint. Some of you may have already known this trick, but I thought i would start a thread to share other tips and tricks.
