Very nice! You really captured the feeling in this!

Only thing I would adjust is that point on the horizon shouldn't go white. It keeps drawing my eye up there. If I remember correctly, Will's only went to a light blue there. The big thing is to remember that contrast will call attention. If you want people to look somewhere, add more contrast. If it's not important, you can lower the contrast quite a bit.

        Great work. Keep it up!

@Lee-White Thanks for pointing that out. I've adjusted that hot-spot on the horizon (along with a couple of other minor details). I'm glad it met with your approval otherwise. What a fun class that was (especially the fact that you neglected to record half of the last session 😲 😂 😂 )

@Casual-T Great job!! I attended the class too. I'm working on this myself. I love his style and have watched his video with the dragon several times, but I've just never gotten the hang of it. Now I think I have. I learn so much by replicating someones existing artwork. I've used bookcovers to do this to.

@deborah-Haagenson Thanks much, Deborah. It was such a fun class, wasn't it? Artists have been doing master studies for centuries, and it is indeed one of the most valuable tools we students have. What's even more amazing is that we live in an age where, through the magic of these here interwebs, we can actually watch the masters do the do as they do the do they do, and interact with them by asking silly questions (I'm an expert at that!). Come to think of it, this would be an absolutely amazing age to live in, were it not for pandemics, inflation, power-hungry elites, and, most depressingly perhaps, the fact that chocolate is not health-food!! 😉

@Casual-T Chocolate isn't health food? I know I must be really annoying to you all but I have just enough science in my background to be a horrific pain in the tail.

NIH article about the health benefits of chocolate. Cheers!

Of course there is a difference between cacao and chocolate, as well as a rather big difference between dark chocolate and the much more sugar-laden milk chocolate. Although the article you linked is quite interesting (although I haven't read it in its entirety), I am not so sure it is entirely trustworthy, since it quotes from a 08/2000 study financed by Mars Inc. Yes, that's Mars Inc., as in the makers of the utterly delightful Mars bar, the caramely goodness called Snickers, the crispy crunchy delight that isTwix, and everyone's favorite multicolored chocolate buttons M&M's, etc. One of the "health benefits" described in the article is "weight gain." Hmm? I doubt that many people living in the US have much of a problem with gaining weight.

But, I'm very open-minded, so I'll just hook up a quick cup of hot cacao, grab a good book, and retire for the evening. I'll let you know if it immunized me against COVID-19. 😉

PS: My wife has told me on a number of occasions that my sense of humor is somewhat...uhm...off. So just to be clear, this is meant as a lighthearted and facetious response, rather than a serious discussion on chocolate's health benefits, or lack thereof.
PPS: Now where's that pack of Lindt I stashed away for a rainy day?

As a matter of fact, M&Ms can be used to prevent Covid19. If someone gets too close, fling some M&Ms past them. When they go after the candy, you turn and run the other way. Cheers!
