First time Illustration, need help

A big fan of SVS learn, I have enjoyed listening to their podcast dreaming of becoming a freelance illustrator one day. Yesterday I emailed someone who is looking for an illustrator for a coloring book. To my surprise they emailed me back and said that they were looking for a timeline and rates that I will charge. I feel like I have my timeline and rate, but is there anything else I need to protect my artwork and ask the employer?
