@chrisaakins if storage is your issue, I have a 32 GB ipad and I've never come close to filling it up with sketches. Then again, the only app I have on it is procreate and I don't use it for anything else 🙂

@ArtofAleksey I was thinking of the 12.9 inch 128GB latest edition
@Braden-Hallett and @ArtofAleksey has all your work been done on an iPad? I was thinking of using it instead of the low-level Wacom I have tested out for my classroom.

@chrisaakins no, I just use it as a sketchbook. I use a cintiq for work.

It is currently my main tool as i do not have room in my pace for art tables and such. At least not yet. But you can now use a ipad as a secondary display for drawing for your mac. As long as your mac is relatively recent and has the latest OS

@chrisaakins WAY more than enough. I have a 64gb and with several hundred drawings in Procreate I have about 18gb left at the moment.

If you ended up getting the iPad pro, I recommend applying a matte screen protector like this one: https://paperlike.com/
IMO it gives a much nicer drawing experience compared to using the apple pencil directly on the glass screen.

@chrisaakins Man I struggle with the Mac/Windows - I use both platforms, and I honestly prefer Windows in most aspects, but the file sharing between Mac products is just so tight

@chrisaakins photoshop is also now available on ipad pro but im definitely buying a new mac once i move into my new room. I have a project idea for a large spread. Which is limiting in procreate.

@chrisaakins I've got a 256gb ipad pro. I've used 70 gb in a year and a half (half of that is my album collection and Samurai Jack cartoons). Most art files I store on the cloud. I would buy a 128gb if I upgraded to the new ipad pro. And not get cellular. Plus you can plug in a harddrive if necessary.

There's a software solution for that called HFS+ by Paragon software. It's for Windows so you can read all MacOS files from any hard drive. They do a similar version for Mac to read windows NTFS formatted drives.

The Mac drives i have are the old system. So I didn't know they would change it again! Nightmare. Apart from my ipad I'm all Windows now. Apple is way too overpriced for me. Prefer to build my own gear with good value and powerful Ryzen chips.

I just don't see what the advantages are though, like the ONLY reason I use a mac is literally the day-to-day tasks like moving and working with files, managing windows, backing up, etc are just faster.
