@Will-Terry actually, I did research on this as well. While alligators are primarily American, there is one place in America where alligators and monkeys co-exist. Florida! The Silver River in Florida. That's where I set my illustration. πŸ˜ƒ

Here's my entry. Really pleased at how this turned out and the (relatively) short time it took too!

Anyone know, is the deadline midnight MDT? I'm still working on mine and still have quite a lot to do so it'll be tight

I know Will Terry wrote that Bongo lived in a jungle, but I didn't feel like that was the whole story. What would make a monkey that picky with food? A highrise zoo, with bowls of fruit everywhere, and a readymade audience for mischief.

I am currently turning this into an animation, but procreate's animation functions were on too simple a level for what I ended up wanting to do, so I am restructuring it in a different program to animate all the animals. Sometimes I need to decide on format before I begin, I guess. πŸ™ƒ

@aprilshin This is beautiful! I'm glad you went with this composition; I think you did a great job making it look like a reflection without having to distort Bongo's image. The colors are lovely too!

@Chip-Valecek when you grab the images to put in the slideshow do you click to expand or do you grab the image imbedded in the forum thread? Just noticing that mine is very small and blurry until you click to expand it and wondering if i should try to fix it?

monkey-finished.jpg Bongo found a way to get back to the other side of the river...he blew up his giant banana raft, that he always carried in his pocket for such an emergency, loaded up his basket of oranges and waved goodbye to Clyde, his new alligator friend!

It's been a long time since I submitted anything in the forum, and I've created this at the very last minute just to submit something! Not entirely happy with it, but hey ho! Some incredible work here as always!

Nothing but spots came to mind, when I read this part of the story. A Gestural approach and minimal palette for this month. June Prompt final.JPG
