I thought I'd start a thread to show the assignments I've been working on and submit some for the review of anyone that feels like giving some advice and critique. These first 2 are from Basic Perspective. Perspective is one of my great shortcomings but don't be shy. Let me know where I can improve.

I have been working on perspective as well. The bottom one I noticed right away, the top of bookshelf on the left is angling down and the closet object on the left, its top is angled much higher than I think it ought to be. I do really like the perspective of the first one. That's a really large shoe by the way lols. But the clock looks off -might be just me- the bottom of it looks as if it is protruding from the wall. Also if you @davidhohn he might give you some kindly feedback as he has done so with others -because you've taken his class- but I have done so, so you don't have to.

@Heather-Boyd Thanks Heather, Now I can't unsee how ginormous that shoe is, Haha. I appreciate you checking my work for me. I find perspective incredibly frustrating but I think the class helped me see things a little more clearly.

So this drawing was me attempting to apply some of the things I learned in Basic Perspective to an actual illustration. As before I invite your toughest critiques. I really want to have my eyes opened to the areas where I need the most work so that I can start to correct them. I'd like to know what anyone thinks about the overall composition as I will probably take this piece through to the light and shadow techniques from Lee Whites class that I just finished up.

If the protrusion on the bowl in front of your door is intended to be centered/direcly across from the door it's not quite in the right spot. If you want it in front of the door, you would need to move it to the right around the rim of the bowl.

I really like your comp! Your tree is super dope and I love the design of the treehouse.

@Jonathon-B-Baker-0 Looks good! The boat is very close to the horizon line though, so you should see it more "from the front" than "from above" if you know what I mean.

@Jonathon-B-Baker-0 I like the style how you did the first one. However, at the angle at which the viewer is facing the room, two-point perspective doesn't work well. You really need 3-point perspective for this angle (the viewer's eye is not perpendicular to any of the axes of your "cube/room").

Somehow your eye/brain was already telling you this (the clock and the monster poster seem to want to follow a third vanishing point - however the rest of the elements don't... the effect is very apparent if you compare the clock and the door at its left).

@txels Thanks for checking it out. I see what your saying about the boat on the horizon it was bothering me but i couldn't put my finger one why.

This looks good! Very believable space. I get a strong sense of the person who lives here.
You can see in the draw over what I would focus on. The ellipse for the clock. The Monster poster is skewed slightly. Since the top and bottom edges follow the orthogonal to the RVP I would simply have the vertical edges follow the "rules" of the rest of the drawing.
The ellipse for base of lamp could be tightened up a bit and then the functionality of the shade and bulb just need a little more reference

The second room image with the lower POV is looking great!

To level up your first image even further, the height of the camera in the room suggests a need for a 3rd vanishing point. I know that this was not covered in the SVS lesson. I'm suggesting it here because you are clearly ready to take this on -- and as you can see, it's not hard! Just grab all your vertical orthogonal and taper them slightly (just like you did with the LVP and RV) to a 3rd vanishing point below the edge of the picture plane.

@davidhohn WOW ! Thank you so much. That really helps me see where I need to take this image. I see what your saying about the third vanishing point though I'm not sure how I got there. I'll look into finding some more tutorials on the subject. I still feel like I'm not quite grasping perspective, like I'm missing some pieces of the puzzle or something. Anyway, Thanks Again.

@Jonathon-B-Baker-0 Hi Jonathon, I think this is one of the most difficult aspects of drawing for some of us, but you are doing great. I love your second post with the Illustrated landscape, will you be finishing this illustration, or you just did it for practice?
