        @Nyrryl-Cadiz When I view #fauxInktober2020, I now see my two posts there, so that's good. But at the top of the page it has a round circle with an image in it. Next to this is the word Follow. I wonder how I change the image in the circle. In my Instagram Account this is a photo of me and I know how to change it. But I don't know how to change it on the # page.

          Time is going by so fast for me! Your fauxtober post from last year doesn't seem that long ago.

            I'd love to try both.

            I've mainly used Inktober for practice.
            When I worked at Tokyo Disney Sea as a caricature/cute portrait artist, our company wanted us to complete a profile picture, head and shoulders, inked and coloured in five minutes.
            A crazy 5 minutes! And write the guests name, and sign and date it.

            It took me 2 years to get under 7 minutes.
            And then, I worked on creating a style that I was happy with.
            Then, to go even quicker,...I decided to drop the sketch, and just go straight in, from the beginning with a brush pen.
            A Copic Sketch, marker.

            That got my time down to between 5 and 7 minutes, depending on the details.

            So, yeah! I loved Inktober.

            This year(try to make time);
            Quick sketches in ink, and maybe acrylics.

            My apologies for the long one. 😉

              @jsnzart

              I loved this long post, don't be sorry for it!!

              This was all super cool info (I was looking into doing caricatures before the pandemic shut everything down, so it's super neat to see actual numbers!)

              I'll also be doing a "not quite Inktober" this year as I'll be using silver, white, and gold ink along with the black. I'm finishing up a project I started last October that I plan on self publishing!

                @korilynneillo Thank you!

                Those numbers are only for the money making company. I also did silhouettes there. No sketch. Just cutting with scissors. And about 2 or 3 inches high.
                Standard time, under 3 minutes.

                For the last 3 years, I have been a portrait/caricature/silhouette artist at prestigious events with world famous brands, around Japan. (this year was meant to be GREAT! All events have been cancelled)

                We're hired for the day, so we can relax with those numbers.
                Silhouettes taking around 5mins, so getting the likeness, and adding details is so much more comfy.
                Portraits, I was averaging from 10 to 15mins each. Full front pose, and plenty of detail, with two choices,...a marker(no sketch), or pencil(no erasing).

                When I do Inktober, I usually draw from life or photos, with no pencil sketch. It's a great challenge! And I know I need to keep my skills sharp. (I kind of do Inktober, every month!)
                I also love adding some elements from my imagination. It's good to see my mistakes, etc. Like a reality check.

                Great! Finish those projects!

                  @Nyrryl-Cadiz 2020 is kicking my butt and draining my creative energy...but I'd like to support Jake AND inktober...at the very least, I'm looking forward to seeing all of y'all's work.
