      Hello! I am very new to this whole online sketchbook thing, so any and all advise, criticism, and conversation is more than welcome. I hope that I am posting this correctly, and if not, I would love to know how to so properly. (May your current and future endeavors become fuel for your fire.)

          @Nyrryl-Cadiz Well, I am not exactly sure... Anything that looks like it could use improvement maybe? I'm sorry, I am not very good at this whole sketchbook thing.
          I am so sorry for forgetting my manners! Thank you for replying so quickly! You do not have to critique if you do not feel like doing so.

            @Jason-Sakuwa We love to help and critique around here, so you're certainly not forcing any of us! It's just hard to critique if we don't know what you're trying to achieve. For example if you made a dark piece but your goal had been to make a light and happy piece, you would have failed and need to improve the lighting. But if you wanted to create a dark and moody piece, you would have succeeded! So without knowing what you're going for, it's very hard to tell you if you're going in the right direction or not.

                  @Nyrryl-Cadiz I would like to apologize for all of the kerfuffle earlier. I hope that you can have a wonderful day. {Or night. (My timezone is a bit strange.)}

                    Today, I began designing characters for a picture book. My thought process was that rounder and softer shapes would be more suitable for a picture book. I would greatly appreciate any advice about the character design, or how to make characters seem like they come from the same universe (which is quite specific indeed...). I hope that your days are as enjoyable as when you are drawing!20201013_225723.jpg
