Hello from Italy! Illustration student

Hi! I am 22 and a study illustration in a Fine Arts academy in Sicily.

I really don’t get what I need to know from my school, unfortunately, ‘cause it’s really theory based, we study a lot of art history and old graphic techniques but we really don’t do much illustration at all.

So a few months ago I started listening to the podcast and I discovered a whole new world, I wanted to work in illustration but I never had anyone explaining me what the job was like and what I had to do to get in, so till that moment I just tought it was a world were it was impossible to get in, at least for me. Since then I figured out a lot of things and I actually aspire to work inside an animation studio now! But currently I am just working very hard at improving my skills and learn from everything I can.

I was finally able to subscribe to SVS learn almost a month ago and I am so happy about what I have learned already! I hope to be active in the forum and partecipate to challenges too!
