      Thank you for your comments. I'm a little unsure about the eyes. If anyone can see any problems please let me know.

        this is great! especially if you're not used to painting people. it's not obvious at all
        if I had to be picky, I would just mention the wrinkles on the side of the mouth, they are a bit too "protruding" for my liking...
        here's how I would have done it (quickly done). I also changed the left shoulder the way I would have done it personally 😉

          @audrey-dowling

          Thanks for the feed back Audrey. I see what you did and that really helps. The shoulder was to high and I definitely need to look at wrinkles more. he looks old but maybe i could push it a little further.

            Wow, very dramatic from your normal style. Can I ask what made you make the eyes more detailed? It seems to be the only variation from your animal work... Not that it doesn't work. I think you already do eyes very well, and would not have thought the person drawing this was the same as the person doing your animals. They do share the same sense of whimsy though, so that does carry over.

            I personally like the over saturation, but you might want to dial it back a smidge, the pink occlusion light is very friendly for lack of a better word, and I would love to see more in this series. Anyway great job, keep em coming, Audrey gave you great advice as well.

              Wow @Lee Holland!

              This painting is great on so many levels!

              One think that strikes me about his eyes is that the left eye is slightly bigger than the right one (and with correct perspective the left one should be smaller. And also the left eye look like it is a bit to "advanced" (I am not sure how to say this in English... but it is not as "deep" in the eye socket as the right one)

              Also, your upper lid should cast a shadow on your eyeball.

              Finally, I think most of the wrinckle looks awesome, however the two wrinckle right beside the ear are a little too pronounced. I would blend them in a little more

              But great work!! I love it!

                Wow, this is fantastic @Lee-Holland, you are really making the most of your time here! I love the texture, the lighting and the overall character of the piece..to me his eyes are beautiful and smiling..and it's nice to see someone draw a mature/older person in a sympathetic way rather than just wizened.

                  @Bobby-Aquitania

                  Hi Bobby

                  Thank you for your feed back. I have been wanting to do something different for a while now and felt that My cute art was o.k as i have been doing it for so long. I have 4 cute book covers to do for clients at the moment so I don't really need to worry so much in that area.

                  I like doing small eyes because they are cute so really i just wanted to try something bit different.

                  Thank you.

                        It looks great! However I think the left eye is still a little too big..
