Honestly without SVSLearn i would never be able to do something like this. And I’m also very grateful for the how to write children’s book class because it helped me a lot to become not just an illustrator but an author/illustrator.

I was thinking about an agent because I kinda don’t want to deal with all the back and forth negotiation with the publisher and I don’t feel confident enough approaching publishers with my manuscript... but finding an agent might be as hard as submitting to a publisher

@mag When I first attempted a 24 page story, I based it off of Little Red Riding Hood, fractured it by telling it from the Wolf's perspective. Now I'm trying to work on my own stories, though I'm not as good of a writer so it's a learning curve.
I agree that it takes , and I was only really able to afford to do it because I started in April when I was at home temporarily laid off due to Covid restrictions. But one of the ways I'm trying to work on stories is to make a bunch of short ones that don't take a lot of time to make using the "3-2-1 Comics" format as a challenge. Basically the limiters of the format are:
- 3 pages
- 2 Characters
- 1 Twist ending
This way, I'm able to explore and develop story worlds without having to start with a 24–150 page story!
I've only just started on the first story though, so we'll see if the format helps or not.

Congratulations! Well-deserved with your lovely style that I've enjoyed on instagram. I've illustrated some books here in Sweden and now all too well the struggles of working in smaller European countries and also the feeling of losing all motivation. So great job on getting through it all!
