Hello! My name is Bridget and I’m new to this forum. I found this forum from listening to the three point perspective podcast (which I love!) and I joined svs and have been reading on this forum for a little while.
I’m 31 years old and have wanted to be an illustrator since I was a little kid. I went to art school but halfway through I became legally blind from childhood macular degeneration. So I stopped art school to figure things out. Then I had my kids and I’ve been home with them for the past seven years. Because of my eyesight some aspects of illustration became difficult, until I shifted to digital art last year. I feel like my dream is reachable again. Now my goal is to be able to turn my illustration into a career before my youngest is in school full time (4 more years)
Sorry for the life story but basically I’ve been working on my portfolio and just finished a children’s book for a self published author. I’m super excited to meet other artists and find some community!
