      Hello creative hands and brains,

I’m wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of good information on making a book dummy.

I think I got a broad look at them from the writing children’s books course.... but if an agent was looking to see a dummy in PDF form, how finished should it look? Would it be small thumbnails on one page?

      Any advice appreciated. ☺️

@Lauz_in_gumboots it usually needs to be a whole book done in fairly clean sketches with one or two finished illustrations, a pdf with spreads, text inserted con the pages. It’s good to have an only-text file. I usually make also something like a cover page for the dummy. 🙂

@mag thank you for that info. I feel out of my depth but, must start somewhere. Goals to work towards. I want to know what direction I’m headed in 😄 thank you!
