Chapter books recommendation
-
I'm currently looking for recommendations for the Best Children's chapter books and novels (Young adult and children) released in the timeline of 2020 to now, would love to hear your recommendations.
I'm planning on splurging on some recent releases, right now on my list are Aggie Morton serries by Nosy Crow.

I’m enjoying the writing and stories in the Fart Quest series (fantasy adventure).
By Aaron Reynolds
Illustrated by Cam Kendall -
I really enjoy the whimsy and art style of Laura Ellen Anderson's books. Her most recent are: "Amelia Fang and the trouble with toads" and "Rainbow Grey"

@Navya-Raju two of my favorite recent chapter book reads -- Merci Suarez Changes Gears by Meg Medina and Pax by Sara Pennypacker -- were published in 2018 and 2016, respectively. So they're a little older than your 2020 timeline.
However ... their sequels are out this year! Merci Suarez Can't Dance is available. Pax, Journey Home is available for preorder (publishing September 7, 2021).
I can't wait to read them, and if you're a fan of Merci or Pax, they might be something you'd be interested in too.

@Kevin-Treaccar thank you, will check it out.
@CukiArtist I love-love Laura Ellen Anderson's works, it's already on my list!
@Melissa-Bailey-0 Never heard of Merci Suarez Can't Dance, looks unique. Excited about the new book by Jon Klassen, did not realize it was a chapter book.

Aggie Morton is a really fun read especially if you are already an Agatha Christie fan!!
I read an wonderful book recently. However it was published in 2018 so it may not make the cut. It is Sweep:The Story of a Girl and Her Monster, by Jonathan Auxier. It was really amazing and thought provoking as well as touching and sweet and sad. So very well written. I loved it.
That’s all I can think of that has been published recently. I’m going to watch this thread too. Happy Reading!
