      Hi everyone,
I'm working my way through the fundamentals, but I am on Foundations 4 and it is for people who have photoshop and a tablet. I do have photoshop, but I don't have the ability to draw on a tablet while using photoshop. I do have procreate, an ipad and an apple pencil. Is it recommended that I do this class with procreate instead? Or should I skip it altogether? I don't want to miss any fundamental skills, but using my mouse on photoshop doesn't work well, obviously. (I don't have a Mac so I can't use my apple pencil with my desktop.) Thank you.

If u have a mac use sidecar which is a built in future that can let u use an ipad as a drawing tablet. But tbh, drawing on a tablet doesn’t take skill, just hand eye coordination. After a few hours on a tablet, Or maybe a few days, you eventually get it.

I really don't think you need photoshop for this one, I even used Krita for a large part of it (though I gave in and got photoshop due to lag.) In the lessons, Lee even mentions on multiple occasions that most programs have this feature or that feature insinuating that you can use other programs. I do think that ultimately, Photoshop should be in your toolkit as they talk about it a lot in their podcast too and sometimes use it simply as a final reference for color correctness.

          Happy creating,
          Tristan

OK thank you! I do have and use photoshop when doing final edits for my art prints, I just don't have the capability of drawing with it the way I do on my ipad with my apple pencil (which is what I use for procreate). I'll try to do the lessons with procreate, then. If it's lessons that aren't just photoshop specific.
