The bit about teaching and freelancing is really hitting home for me. I'm a high school teacher and trying to get my freelancing off the ground, but adjusting back to in person learning has been making it really difficult for me to be motivated to create my own stuff. My old tennis elbow injury flaring up and finding out I have heart problems hasn't helped either...it's definitely hard to do all of this at once!
Should I Teach?

Art by Melissa BaileyWhat kind of art should you make for a living? How do you balance learning with working? Is teaching art the right path for me? And how do you learn a new illustration program like ProCreate? This week, Jake Parker, Lee White, and Will Terry discuss the pitfalls and struggles with working in academia, teaching art at a college level.

@lpetiti i hate to hear about your tennis elbow. After struggling with this for years, I can recommend a product that helps considerably. I found it by deep diving into the rock climbing/bouldering groups and they all suffer from the same thing. Here's a link to amazon. Not promising miracles, but over time this can probably help and sure can't hurt.
Note, be careful using the first couple of days. Go easy with it. It goes very deep and can actually bruise your arms if. you do it too hard or for too long.

@Lee-White oh my gosh, thank you so much for the recommendation! I’m going to check it out and see what it does for me.
