WIP critique/suggestions

Hello! I was wondering if I could get some thoughts on this composition. This is supposed to be a Korean inspired Halloween piece. The animal on top will be a tiger cub and the couple below is holding hands and wearing traditional Korean hanboks. Their framed by branches and korean pumpkins. I'll probably also add some fireflies around the branches.

I'm not sure if the concept makes sense or is reading as Halloween-y. I'm also not sure if the composition is working or how I can improve. Thankful for any thoughts/advice/suggestions/critiques. Thank you for your time!

Here is the clean line version. Coloring is always a daunting step for me. Hopefully I can get some colors that work together to keep the Halloween feel.
