That's an awesome idea. But would the cost cover all the classes or be individual-based?

@tomparsonsart Everyone would get individual feedback and instruction.

@jthomas The $250 would be per class. You would have an individual instructor giving you feedback and doing drawovers, etc. it would probably be around 5-8 hours of instruction and crits. etc. But, you bring up a good point, maybe we could offer a discount if you wanted a group of them, etc.

I think this sounds great. I would go just for the feedback.

I'm a newer fella to it all but I'd love to be able to participate in something of the sort. Individual feedback seems like it will be the main selling point. On top of this, the benefit of seeing mistakes corrected on others' works sounds immensely helpful. Aside from individual feedback, another thing I'd love to see from a course like this is at least one assignment of sorts tailored to pushing people off of their comfort zone and onto the floor where they can writhe in uncertainty and grow! I think this would add more value to artists who feel they have a solid understanding of the subject matter.

Thank you always for the intentional extra efforts you make Lee!

            Happy creating,
            Tristan

Seems a very interesting way of having a more dynamic learning. I like the online learning format, but there are those moments where you really miss having that feedback from a teacher.

@Lee-White This sounds pretty cool. How often would the workshops be offered? Monthly for each foundation class seems like it would add a ton of work on SVS's side. If it were less frequent, by the time you had a workshop pertaining to the class I need feedback on my focus would likely be onto another topic/class. Because of the self paced nature of the foundation classes I wonder if that would be an issue.

One idea might be to offer something like mini tutor type sessions. A student could submit their question along with any pertinent image they are working on. Then have a 20-30 minute virtual zoom appointment created. This might allow for more timely help.

Sounds great @Lee-White; however, I’m more of an asynchronous type of adult learner since I work crazy hours and have to squeeze in learning at odd times.

Paid critiques/feedback on assignments, on the other hand, would be pretty cool if affordable.

While a critique on the homework for classes would be great, it would not be as useful as a critique on a full illustration or character design. I cold see spending $250 a couple times a year on pieces that really matter but it would not be affordable for every homework piece. A critique on a couple illustrations and the book dummy from the CBPro course would be worth it and amazing.
