Just picked up the Revised Edition of Ann Whitford Paul’s Writing Picture Books book. Anyone else taking this course, and if so, what did you think of it? I just started so I have a ways to go.

@doodlemick I had purchased the book last year but haven't gone through it yet. I'd really enjoyed her course on SVS. I do have plans of learning how to write this year. Let me know how it goes for you! Good luck!

@doodlemick The information was great and the book is fantastic, one of my favorites but the course on SVS is in real need of an edit. There are (at best) 5-10 minutes of each week's recording devoted to tech issues which I found really frustrating to be left in a playback. One of the sessions spends over 30 minutes trying to get the powerpoint up and running. I believe Will fills the air time with answering questions or something but it still could be cut out as it isn't super relevant to the course recording.

It was a real slog to get through the videos but I LOVE the content and again, the book is fantastic, definitely made a huge impact on my writing.

Thank you for the heads up. I just finished week one, and just finished up with the reading assignments. I’ll keep an open mind with the technical issues that are in my future.
