I have been drawing caricatures for about 10+ years now as a hobby. I have taken a multitude of on-line courses from several different resources. I just finished Level 1: Basics to brush off some of the cobwebs and started Level 2: Props. Most of my art history has always been caricature portrait, (The Human Head). Story Writing and Illustration is a completely different animal. Now it is time to Buckle-Down, Take Notes and get serious.
I am also working on playing Catch-Up with all the PodCast as well. Just finished #27 and working on 28.

      Thanks for having me.

Hey @DoodleMick! I love your caricatures on your Flickr page! (Instagram is private so can't see there yet). The 5th portrait on your Flickr is my favorite so far, reads a lot of emotion from the lighting, character from the expression and silliness from the proportions. Love it.

May I ask, what is your future goal in taking all these online classes? Is it just to better your craft and have fun, or are you looking to do caricatures for editorials? I'm just asking because I love hearing other peoples goals (and maybe be influenced by them).

Look forward to seeing more of your awesome work!

@duh Thank You, I didn't realize my Instagram was set to private. That should be fixed now.

I think my goal is to just get better at this craft, and to have better backgrounds with better gags and props. I need to learn how to tell a story in my paintings (aka Illustrations). I am currently taking the Picture Writing Course, and in the process of writing a children's book for my grandsons. I plan on doing my own illustrations as well, and I want it to turn out the best that I can.
