How to Draw Everything Before and After
-
@PenAndrew Thanks!
-
@Jav-Muz maybe not what you wanted to hear but I love the first one so much!
It has so much life and charm. The little face on the cloud and the door and the cute fairy lights. It makes me happy looking at it. -
@NicolaSchofield Yes, I think what you are identifying is the fact that many of us start of with our own way of drawing and slowly we draw what is expected of us, follow the rules of drawing etc and move away from our originality and then spend years trying to get back to that original childhood state of creativity!
There's a famous quote by Picasso connected to this idea, but I can not remember, that reminds me of 3PP! -
Nice job! While I do love the whimsy first drawing, you have to learn the rules before you can break them. The second house is stiffer, but you've already learned a great deal of perspective and that's going to make huge strides in the quality of your artwork! Looking forward to watching you grow

@NicolaSchofield Thanks for giving your perspective on this drawing, I am trying to first learn the rules of drawing and then stylize it to make it look expressive.
-
@AngelinaKizz Thanks for the feedback! I agree, I will try my best to learn the rules first so that I can adapt them accordingly to my art.
-
@Jav-Muz it's always good to know the rules so you can find interesting new ways to break them
I wasn't suggesting you shouldn't learn perspective, etc. Just wanted you to know that I think first one has lots of character and great line quality.
-
@NicolaSchofield haha thanks
️! It feels nice knowing that people appreciate my first drawing too
. Hopefully I can get to a state in drawing which would help me draw the images i visualize in my head but until then I will keep practicing to get better.
Thanks for your feedback!

@NicolaSchofield @Jav-Muz Yes not to throw the baby out with the bath water. Ha ha.

@PenAndrew haha yup!
