Hello everybody,
I had known this website for a few years now, but I had never try to interact with the community. I'm trying to build some habits about drawing everyday and connect with people that are interested on the same stuff so here I am
My name is Eliana, I'm 30 years old, I'm from Venezuela, I'm not working as an illustrator right now but it would be amazing if I could, that's why I want to start to seriously start learning and I hope to get to know the amazing people and illustrator that are here.
I saw there are some contest here on the forum, it's possible to participate without paying for the suscription? I know about SVSLearn because I listen to the podcast and I bought Jake's course "Learn to draw everything" some time ago, but I don't actually know anything since I haven't explore anything yet.

@Eliana-Bastidas-Puentes you can partake in the prompt, but you cannot be considered for the contest without a subscription. The subscription is worth it though for everything you learn watching classes. If your goal is to become an illustrator, I would highly recommend the Svs classes. They are absolutely fabulous.

@AngelinaKizz Thank for replying! Yes, I've been thinking about it, I'm just afraid of not having enough consistency at nights after starting to pay for the suscription, that's why I'm trying to build the habit of drawing everyday first before paying for it.

@Eliana-Bastidas that’s a good plan. It’s really all I watch these days. I rewatch classes, and listen to their podcasts. I rewatch old critique arenas… once you get started it’s very motivating.

@Eliana-Bastidas Welcome to the forum and when you are ready jump in. You can learn a great deal from the podcasts and the forum, so that's a great start to becoming a more serious illustrator. Good luck.

@PenAndrew Thank you! Yeah, I've been thinking seriously about this, so I came with the idea of making a weekly post where I set a weekly goal of about 5 to 7 illustrations, one per day. And my ultimate goal is to keep this going for a year, then look back to see my progress and take the forum as a time capsule. Hope my greed is not big and I will keep the consistency

@Eliana-Bastidas Your goal is achievable if you have the time and if you have less time- make small illustrations.
