Basic Perspective Drawing Final Project Grid Question
-
Congratulations Stephanie on finishing this class! I think the previous replies gave you all the info you needed. I just wanted to say hi and that I have just begun going through the foundational classes myself! I posted my Basic Perspective Final Drawing in the Forum, but got no responses. All I can wonder is, "Is it really that bad?" LOL. Glad you got some feedback. It really looks great!

@davidhohn Thank you! Your screenshots with notes will definitely come in handy. I really appreciate the time you took to lay that out. It makes more sense to me when I see it all visually layed out.
Hoping to have a room with the items placed in it in the coming days!

@mcschweitzer It's great to have someone else going through the foundations at the same time!
I am not able to provide feedback on perspective drawings at this point since it's an area I struggle with.
Looking forward to seeing some of your work as you move through the Foundations Classes!

@Stephanie-H @mcschweitzer Yes, and I encourage you both to keep going especially when you hit a dip or an obstacle. I have found those are the greatest points of learning for me, especially through the second level of drawing the figure. Every course here was pretty difficult to do and when I came to the unique and appealing character course and gesture course I hit several walls!
But each time my work has developed and I have been able to incorporate something new into my drawing that was so lacking before.

@PenAndrew
Thank you for the encouragement! Perspective drawing is definitely the giant wall in front of me at the moment

@Stephanie-H Yes I am sorry I didn't comment because I did not really understand what problem you had as you seemed to be doing everything right! But that was good as you had a great comment from David.
I find I can mostly do perspective but it still remains abstract at times and I think I just need to do more practical tasks with my knowledge. -
@PenAndrew Thank you!
-
@PenAndrew It's nothing to be sorry about.
David's help was wonderful! -
@Stephanie-H Yes, that's what i meant, you heard from the professional!

@Stephanie-H yes
looks perfect to me, though i would recommend using a harder pencil for perspective. -
@Stephanie-H said in Basic Perspective Drawing Final Project Grid Question:
Next hurdle will be to figure out how to be in the room instead of a giant looking into the house.
Great job! And your last hurdle is easy to step right over. Just crop in tighter.
Another student had a similar question a couple weeks back and I responded in more detail. Here's a link to that post:https://forum.svslearn.com/topic/12728/basic-perspective-drawing-final-assignment/2?_=1656513847189

@Stephanie-H To start off with yes, that what I've done here and it will definitely work.
As you do this more often you'll likely find that you don't need to grid out the whole space. All this work will be constantly in the back of your mind like muscle memory.
