I decided to try the Third Thursday prompt.

        I like the concept.

If you can, it's better to scan the image or at least take a photo of it somewhere where there is a lot of strong, even lighting, as it is looking a bit dark at the moment.

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen Hello Marsha - good concept for sure - I know this is not digital and you cannot really make changes very easily but I thought I would try changing a couple of things and see what it looked like - the color of the wall and the position of the girl's right foot are the things I tweaked - could not figure out the floor - I think it may look better with the lighter background and the blue with the oranges is always nice 🙂image.jpeg

@NickA Thanks Nick. It actually is kind of dark. I had to put white over it to lighten it up a bit 🙂 BUT, I am also not really pro at photos 🙂 Thanks for the tip.

Yes, that foot was bothering me but, I just see that I did it again on my newer try.....ugh! That really looks good when it's moved over. The lighter wall brightens things up too. With photo shop, how long did it take yo t do that?

Does this composition look better to you? I can still add some details but basically, do you see any problems?

This is pretty neat, especially the drawing style. Reminds me a bit like Magic School Bus.

I think you're in the right direction as I'm curious to see how it all turns out! 🙂

Practice with some tones and shading and make it look good in grayscale first then add colors at last, I think.

Much better! I'm glad someone mentioned the spot as I forgot to, sorry! Your line work is very neat and it is much clearer with her proportion size. 🙂

Only thing I see is their feet. Keep in mind where your horizon line is, the bottom of their feet should be a small ellipse not a straight line.

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen This looks good Marsha! - i agree with Kelvin and Brittany too - the only problem i see is the teacher's foot - if you were to lightly draw the floor as a checkerboard pattern in perspective i think you will have a good idea of how to arrange the feet - right now the characters on on different planes - i think if you move the teachers left leg (our right) backward to the left of the page and up toward the top of the page a bit it might work - but i would try the perspective trick - great drawing!

@bharris ah! I'll try the elipse thing. That makes sense. Thank you so much! I think that's something I've done regularly with feet. Never really thought about it...old habits die hard, I guess 🙂

@Kevin-Longueil I see what you mean! I was really erasing that foot a lot. Doing the floor as a guide sounds very helpful. Thanks so much. Hope I can finish it before it's due. I should probably look that date up 🙂

Playing with pencil version and fixed a couple of things too.

I think this might be better.
