5 minute warm up doodle from this morning. Just a prediction of how my Monday was going to go. and some more practice from tonight
-
@evilrobot looks cool--are those assignments you did from Sam Nielson? Nice work!
-
Yep, I did all the schoolism classes but I really want to go into children's publishing so now I'm taking all the SVS classes. Can't make up my mind if I want to paint realistic or cartoony. Looks like you and I have all the same art heroes. Will Terry and Sam Nielson are pretty much my all time favorites. Hoping to learn how to be a better draftsman and nail down drawing characters from all angles.
-
Testing out some of the brushes I learned to make in Lee White's class. These are super fun to play with.
-
Some Tuesday morning sketches. Did these at work with my cheap bamboo tablet.
-
15 minute doodle before work this morning.

Sketches and painted versions from tonight. Trying to figure out a style and then stick to it.......

Very nice work, I love your rendering. ~cheers~
-
Very quick Thursday morning doodle before work.
-
Another drawing I started tonight
-
I really love you thursday morning doodle. I like the others as well, but that one is so unique and charming. Have you tried doing a cutesy looking character. I have no idea what I am talking about in terms of children's books, but I would think art directors would want to see a little bit of cute

Some more test sketches from tonight.
-
Attempting to figure out a cat character using methods I learned on SVS children's book class.
-
This little space guy came out while I was sketching tonight.
-
They even have flowers in outer space.

Reworked this one because I didn't like the first version.
