November Contest: This was the end of the road for Kamari...

@Chantal-Goetheer thank you, yeah I always seem to go for complementary colour schemes. Remember though, the time I've given is purely for when I'm actually painting/drawing. You could probably add another 2 or 3 hours for all the flapping around I do!

Take one. Hoping to get another in, but we'll see!
-
@AngelinaKizz This is so touching! I love it!

@Jeremiahbrown Lol, somehow you've snuck a brutally squashed turtle into an illustration and still hit the cute factor. Awesome.
-
@Lisa-F do I still submit through the critique arena website if I’m doing the allstars? Or will it go through into Novembers? Or should I wait till December then submit? Thanks
-
@Cayleen Haha, thanks!

Finally found time to watch October's Critique Arena and am SO pleasantly surprised to find myself as an honorable mention. After a hectic November, here's my entry.

This was a tough one for sure, but it ended up being one of my favorite pieces I've done to date. Thanks so much to everyone who helped me with all the concept and design and color decisions I had to make! It's way better than it would have been without you.

Hi all! Final submission for the year! Here's my take on our "Kamari" prompt. I've only done a few contests, and its been fun. Seeing so much great art is bonus for sure. THIS prompt is no different! Hope to see you all in the ARENA. I look forward to improving my art, and storytelling in 2023... where it will be a new beginning.

Here's my take on the Kamari prompt — I went through more concepts and roughs than I ever have on any other illustration for this prompt! It was doing my head in!
-
@Jeremy-Ross Such a poignant theme for a child, Jeremy. There's a beautiful book on the subject of moving house you might enjoy — "Claire’s Goodbye", by Libby Gleeson.
-
@MarcRobinson My mind is blown how quickly you made this illustration, Marc! You're a machine!

I got one more in.
