Hi! I just finished the final assignment of the Basic perspective course and I'd like to receive some critic about it. Mostly on the bottom block (it's supposed to be where the dresser should be) because I think it's off, so I'm pretty sure it is off but let me know! Thank you in advance!

@Anaid-J From my untrained eye, the blocks look fine. What stood out to me was the opened door and it doesn't have a side perspective to it (it's a vertical line as if it's the thinnest door in the world). Also, the circle could have a side perspective too since it's at a slight angle from this viewpoint.

      Hope that helps!

@Anaid-J I just did a quick draw over of your drawing to check your perspective. It looks correct. I think what may be happening is that sometimes when you move into a more extreme angle things just tend to look a little warped, because our eye isn't used to being able to see all those angles in a single glance. In real life we focus on one small area at a time, but in a photograph or drawing that is small enough we see the whole picture. So you did it right!

@Anaid-J Hi 🙂 Congrats on finishing the basic perspective course. Your basic building blocks seem to show a solid two-point perspective to me. I put some rough lines on your image using my phone, so they're not perfect. The line in the top left corner seems to be following the wrong set of perspective lines to me, but it probably depends on what you're trying to make that shape become. Consider aligning it with the purple lines instead of the green. Thanks for sharing your assignment!

This is so cool, perspective is such a challenge but I learned a ton just watching what you've put together here! 🙂

@Mewie Thank you very much for your reply! Yeah... I forgot to give more depth to the door hahaha, thank you for pointing it out! The circle did cause me a lot of troubles honestly, I'll try to make it better, so it looks correct. Thank you so much again!

@kirsten-mcg Thank you very much! Oh I see, so it's a distortion due the extreme angles. The teacher spoke about something like that but right now I totally forgot the name of it. I'll check that lesson again so I remember it better.. Thank you!

@KathrynAdebayo thank you very much for your reply and your diagram! It's very helpful. I'll try to check out again the lines because at some point, I ended up with a mess of reference lines so I got kinda lost hahahaha. Need to figure out how to work cleaner hehehehe 🤔 , thanks again!

@ArtistErin Thank you! It is, honestly I've been avoiding perspective for quite some time so, I had to start to dive into it a bit so I don't feel that overwhelmed hehehehe. Glad to hear @KathrynAdebayo 's diagram and my assignment helped you!
