Hi guys! Hope your 2023 is starting good! My best wishes for all of you out there. Hoping all your New Year's resolutions are going well!

I finished @Lee-White class on light and shadow. First of all, I want to say it was such an amazing class and it helped me A LOT to understand the process of shading. Now I'm able to see all those characteristics in the shadows in real life. It's like... My eyes were open to a new world hahahaha. I've struggled with shading since I started drawing because I never understood exactly the process, and I've been taking a lot of classes on the theme! But the explanations weren't as good as Lee's. I highly recommend it!

      Now. Here are my assignments:

As you can see, I wrote some useful notes in there so I could remember later about those. It was such an amazing exercise because, outside the ball you always had to shade in these classes, this is the only one I've started to use my knowledge to take a step further and try more complex things. I think my values are too dark comparing to the examples but I'm not so sure... what do you guys think? Thank you very much in advance!

@Anaid-J these look great! When I first glanced at your post I was having a hard time telling the objects you shaded from the class examples. 😉 The only critique I have is to lighten up the sky behind the house a little. Right now it looks like a cloudy day. If you’re going for sunny, a lighter value for the sky will help get that across. Great job though!
