Hello from Indiana

Hi everyone! I am Liz and I just joined SVS. I bought Will Terry's book What They Don't Teach In Art School a year ago and finally got around to starting it. When I found out about SVS I wanted to give it a try. I want to be an illustrator, but I really need to work on my skills and get into regular practice. I am willing to try different things to accomplish this so any suggestions are welcome!
I have a lot on my plate these days between two jobs and college, but my college is for Game Art so learning to be an illustrator isn't too far off I don't think. Anyway, I definitely have time to devote to art practice I have already started looking at where I could set aside some time.
I look forward to seeing where this takes me. -
@Liz-Hall if you really decided you want to be an illustrator, have you considered switching majors to illustration or dropping out and doing SVS/online classes instead of college?

@Liz-Hall Hello and welcome! You're in the right place to learn all things children illustration.
As for where to start, I would take a look at the foundations curriculum first. Being that you're already in art school, you might not need all of it, but some at least will be helpful. I studied art in college, but I still learned a lot from some of the foundations classes because many of them are more geared toward illustration rather than just general art education.
