Full Time Illustration Salary
-
So, i've been working freelance, mostly for the same publisher and fortunately i've been able to work at my own pace to fit around other aspects of my life. With the publisher growing and looking at expanding to more areas they have asked if I would be interested in working full time for them.
I have been looking at moving into full time illustration, but personal life issues got in the way of taking that leap. I still am waiting to hear on what the details of the position would be, however they have asked what kind of salary I would be looking for. I'm not sure what would be an appropriate amount, and i've replied in a way to see if they can propose an amount first. However, is there anyone here who is doing full time illustration work for a company/publisher and can provide any details about what kind of work/salary they are receiving for it.
I am hoping this year to start freelancing full time in any case, but I do like stability in life too, so it's a interesting offer

I've actually never heard of a full time illustration position? what kind of work would you be doing? is it educational/textbooks? do they retain all the rights to the work? do you have to keep it secret? that might factor into how much you'd want to be paid also.
Also since none of us have been particularly helpful about the actual question maybe you should pose it to the next 3PP live stream. If you're not a patron I could ask it on your behalf if you wanted.
