      Hi everyone,
      I’m happy with the concept/story but wondering if I should present it as the story of the two frogs looking horrified at their friend being trapped, or the the children inshock at having captured a fully dressed frog while out pollywoggying! * not final layout or sketches. Thanks ahead of time. Marked as #1 and #2IMG_0464.jpeg IMG_0465.jpeg

        @Larue I think the two frogs looking horrified that their friend being captured is the stronger narrative. It's a unique perspective and it adds layers to the story! I really like your idea!

          @Larue Very nice piece!
          In terms of composition, I prefer #2 (there's a nice balance with 3 characters and great gestures), but in terms of storytelling, #1 does a better job telling an interesting story because we see those two other frogs, we can immediately tell who's the main character, I also like the point of view. The issue I have with this one is it's a bit out of balance.
          The two boys take up roughly the same space as the two frogs (which breaks the small-medium-big composition rule), the scene is divided in the middle and everyone is having more or less the same expression. It might be fun to see different reactions, which might help you have more layers to the story and play with the composition a bit.
          Hope this helps you a little! Good luck!

            Thanks, I agree the shapes are too similar in the #2 so I’m tweaking #1.

              @Larue i really prefer #2, it has a life that is unbeatable and i think it is much more interesting all around than #1, especially bc the frog has clothes. Hope to see it rendered!

                @Larue I like 2 also, but I think the story should dictate the perspective, if its the frogs story then it may be better to show it from their lower point of view.

                  Omg i just realized you actually numbered them. I have been referring to them in the order they were posted, not what number you wrote on the corner

                    @Larue I think you've got a really great expression and pose on that frog! To me, #2 seems like a better story since we see the other frogs looking on. In both, the expressions on the human characters look somewhat distressed, so I'm wondering what their intention was. It's hard to tell whether they meant to trap the frog or maybe they were looking for something else? This might be answered better as more detail is added though.

                      Thanks, I think I’m better with animals than people:/. These brothers were out pollywoggying(see second jar) when they stumbled upon him.
