My Yeti debut author/illustrator picture book came from an svs prompt

Hi everyone!! It’s been about 2 years now but I submitted an illustration for one of the monthly challenges (everything was falling apart and breaking) featuring my yeti character and then wrote a story around the piece. Long story short… I got an agent and Yeti got picked up by a publisher and is officially available for preorder 🥹.

The spread from the contest is smack in the middle of the book, I made only little changes to it.

I’m just so grateful for SVS and this community for making this dream possible
