That said, summer is really slow for me. Any recs for legit, freelance sites for illustration gigs? I've been resisting working for self-published authors until now, but I'm itchy without a deadline.

Congrats, lovely cover. The only freelance site I’ve ever used is Guru.com but you need to be selective. A lot of clients really lowball. Once in a while a larger company will list a job on there, worth a look see.
