      πŸ‘‹ Hey everyone!

My name is Andre, and I'm thrilled to be here at the School of Visual Storytelling. I'm very interested in learning how to draw.

I used to be a graphic designer, but I switched to Web Development to satisfy my desire for making designs more interactive. Here is some of my graphic design work from the past.

However, Web Development wasn't enough for me, so I ventured into learning Game Development. With that I understand, I need to focus on improving my drawing skills and creativity to the point where I can finally create my own concept art and characters.

This is my upside down drawing from one of the assignments in How to draw everything.

Looking forward to growing alongside all of you!

@Andre-Coetzer welcome! So excited to have you here! The four levels of our curriculum are a great way to strengthen and build up your illustration skills. Make sure to keep posting your work as you move forward in the courses! That way, you can get both feedback and encouragement to keep improving. If you need anything, please message or email me (austin@svslearn.com).

Thank you! I would appreciate it if you could direct me to the rules and instructions for posting, as I may have missed them on the site.

Should I be posting within existing project threads for the lessons, or is it better to create a new post under a specific category?

I would also like to know if there is perhaps a discord server I could join?

              Thanks in advance!

@Andre-Coetzer, as of right now, you'll want to create a new topic for each assignment you post so more people will see it. When you create a new post for an assignment, make sure to assign it to the SVS Class Work category. Things will change with the forum in the next few months, but that's the best way to do it now. We don't have a general Discord server either, but again, the changes coming with our big update will hopefully help with this.
