Some sketches for my second book

So I'm just trying to get some ideas on the kids I'll be putting in this book. I don't want them to be too perfect so I'm trying to use a lot of real life, non-model kids for reference. I'm taking some liberties with the anatomy as well.
It's going to have alien pig rabbits from beyond the moon in it as well. Did I mention they were armored...and have wings?
The center sketches are studies of Adam Rex (from Tree Ring Circus and Billy Twitters and His Big Blue Whale).
