I like it. The question to me is, are you ready to do what it takes to fulfill the role of illustrator? It is a big question and you probably shouldn't take any money until you know you are ready to fulfill what the writer/publisher is asking of you. You pencil slash mark style with your black bird really caught my eye.

Thank you Russ for the feedback. I really appreciate it. For sure, I'm ready, and I'm taking on the role as an illustrator. Small projects at the moment and learning as I move forward. With focus & hard work, I'm hopeful for bigger projects down the road.

@Russ-Van-Dine That's great Russ! I like your work. I think your illustration communicates a real understanding about the importance of story and art working together. Pretty pictures only go so far. This is an important concept I'm working hard to master. I make my living as a web designer and I hope to transition into a full-time illustrator. ( Just like everyone else, lol ) At the end of the day, I love the challenge, win or lose!
