Mermaid piece

Hi,

I would love some feedback on my mermaid piece.
It is based on this fish:

I was trying to make it look like she was lit from above but I found that really hard when I was using such saturated colours.

I would watch the anatomy of the arms, her left arm looks to be longer then the right. What are the things that are wrapping around her waist? Do they connect to something on her back? It would be interesting to see what she looks like from the back.
