Great little image, I think if you did a turn around of the character you would learn a lot about its form and you would be able to pose him/her in any position you require.

Never give up, always push yourself two steps further than you believe you can go.

@Rich-Green Great sketches! All characters look very likeable. My personal fave is the frog under the reference photo.

Very cute,, you did a great job of using the photo without the drawing ending up looking like a photo. I also like the one under the ref pic, it has a lot of personality.I think the tongue could be more long and narrow. Hard to tell if Froggie is licking his lips or darting his tongue at the fly, also, the fly could react. I think we;d see the toes on that left leg (the viewer's left) rather than a part of the leg.

@Vicky-Vicky Hi Vicky! Now that I look at all of my sketches vs the original image you are right that back leg is really supposed to be showing a few of his toes, and I agree now that it would look good with them added in. Thanks for pointing that out. I am also really enjoying finding out that you and others see something in the version under the ref picture. I may have to go back and develop that version a bit more and see what happens! Thanks for the input - greatly appreciated!
