Hello everyone, my name is Rian Trost.

I've been working on my artistic skills for the past 4 years or so and have been a member of SVS on and off for the past couple months. I've recently re-subscribed and decided to really dig back into my education to try and level up my skills.

My primary struggle in art has been deciding where to place my focus, and as a result I feel as though I've got an incredibly disjointed, and chaotic collection of styles and subjects that makes finding work a bit of a challenge. I've landed freelance gigs with relatively large publishers like Paizo, for the Pathfinder RPG - but if I were being honest with myself I don't know that fantasy illustration (in their particular style) is my absolute passion.

You can see some of my work on my website at: www.riantrost.com

My current goal is to really dig in and fix this problem. I'm hoping to hone my skills towards a specific (still undecided, sadly) goal, and create a portfolio that speaks to my true sensibilities - and looks less like a scattershot of 'look what I can do' images. I'm eager to share my progress, and failures with the community!

Here's a little image I cooked up yesterday, showing where my head is currently.

      Look Like Rain

Looking forward to meeting, and cheering everyone on!
