      Hello SVS Forum,

I am a new member of SVS and have learned a ton from the classes. I am working on my first Children's book called, "The Cows Go Moo!" I have recently finished my second draft of the cover and would love to receive any feedback you might have.

      Thank you!

Looks like my image did not upload. Is there a resource on how to do this effectively? Did a scan at 75dpi, but I guess that might have been too big. Format?
        thank you!

Maybe try it as a .jpg

I have had difficulty uploading images on my mobile here and there. Just a couple possible issues though.

@Jim-Petipas Is this a traditional piece? I would recommend adding some rim lights on the cows on stage with the color of the lights behind them. Right now they seem to be in front of the lights.

Hi, Jim I love your sense of humor. The udders on the drum kit looking great.
It reads a little flat to me. I did this quick paint over to show what some change in value would do to your piece. I think it would help your image look more dynamic.

                    I hope that helps you.

Thank you for the feedback Bob. I see what you are saying, darkening the front images will help me to achieve more depth. Appreciate the comment on the humor. The book is full of a ton of it! Thanks again!

i was also going to comment on making the foreground darker. and I would make the lighted areas lighter, that way you have three values, light for background, middle tones for cows, and dark for the foreground
