Really cute! The little bear's expression is so great. I love the feet flying through the air.

I feel that we're kind of losing the mama bear's expression because its dark lines on dark brown. maybe just adding whites to her eyes would fix that. Also, her back seems kind of lumpy, with the way you've simplified the anatomy I would expect more of a regular curve there.

Really cute image! It'll be fun to see the whole portfolio.

For my website I use Weebly and like it. Wix is comparable in the way you build the site, but much more customisable. However, I'm told that in Wix once you've moved things around in the template just how you want them, the only way to get a new set up is to start from scratch. With weebly I'm more locked into the layout of whatever template I choose, but when I decide that I want to try a new layout for the site (which I have done a couple times) I just choose a new template and it moves all my existing content there for me--no need to remake everything! Just something to keep in mind when choosing a site builder.

I actually bailed on Photodeck and am now using squarespace. The new site isn't up yet though. Probably in a month.

There are very specific reasons I changed. Mainly because the shopping/checkout experience on Squarespace is so much better than photodeck. That is becoming a major part of my business so I am leaning into that more and licensing images in a different way.

@Lee-White oh oops sorry for misrepresenting the system you use! — Though, I guess I wouldn't have known since it isn't up yet 😉 — Look forward to seeing the new site

@Lee-White - Thanks for the tip, I will check squarespace. Also, just now finally finished the business class and can not thank you enough for doing it. It is invaluable. I feel like I have a much better grasp on how to get the ball rolling here.

@Sarah-LuAnn I like to let an image sit for a few days and then come back and look at it. I think I'm going to play with the levels on Mama bear and lighten her a bit, I want her to be darker but not too dark. Thanks for the feedback.

@Rebecca-Hirsch just wanted to mention that I saw your piece for the TomiDePaola award projected on the big screen in front of 1100 people on Sunday at the award ceremony - and I had this nice jolt of pride in knowing I had seen the birth of that piece! I took a photo, but it turned out all washed out and unrecognizeable unfortunately. Congratulations again on this well deserved recognition!!

It's a really cute piece. The expression on the baby bear is really nice. I'd add something to the top left of the piece for balance. Maybe a cloud? I hope that helps. Either way it's a lovely illustration!

I'm a luddite when it comes to technology so I can't give any advice on websites! Sorry.

@IanS I actually planned this as a book illustration - that blank space is open for the text. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.
