Maybe i'm way behind the times because i don't watch TV but i stumbled onto this film last night on Amazon while looking for a new animated film to watch with my Kiddos - i was reminded of Secret of Kells while watching it - nearly every frames seemed like a beautifully composed painting - worth checking out if like me you've never heard of it 🙂

Never heard of it but 98% on rottentomatoes must be a good one.

I LOVE this movie! I absolutely loved the art style ever since I first stumbled across the trailer back in 2012! Yes, I've been waiting that long for it. Possibly my favorite film visually EVER. The Secret of Kells vibe isn't surprising since the director worked on that film as well.

@Sarah-LuAnn If you know of any other great lesser known animated films l would love to hear what they are - another great one for me is the short animated film "The Dam Keeper" by Robert Kondo and Dice Tsutsumi -

I'm sure since you're familiar with the Secret of Kells you've also seen Song of the Sea... but if not, watch it!
In addition to that, there are a few here that look really interesting: http://www.cartoonbrew.com/events/cartoon-movie-2017-five-innovative-family-films-europe-148743.html

@Kevin-Longueil I was going to suggest Song of the Sea (but @Sarah-LuAnn beat me to it)... it made my girls cry (but they loved it) and is another great full of heart and lore animated movie.

I will definitely look for Long Way North! And @Sarah-LuAnn thanks for the other leads!

Yes! Song of the Sea! LOVE it.

I haven't watched it yet myself but am excited for it: Kubo and the Two Strings http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4302938/ In the trailers it looks amazing.
