I havent yet shown this to my friend who is a diver and mom, but she has wanted to write a children's book and here is one concept I did today to possibly show her. 0_1490935660125_Diver Girl.jpg I might show her.

@Tyson-Ranes I think this is really good. Can I ask why the character looks sad?

Thats just how this one came out. I messed with some other expressions but her posture was already drawn along wit sad expression on a whim so I just went with it. Thats the only thing at this point that make me hesitate in showing it to my friend who most likely does not have sadness in mind with this character. It was an impulse sketch that that took me down a long road of rendering tonight and I am tired. Here is a different version but still bumming diver.0_1490947337457_Newest DIVER.jpg

Oooh! Need style, I like it! It's the upturned eyebrow that makes her look so sad. If you just straighten that out more she'll cheer up immediately. Also, there's a tangent with the small of her back and her elbow. I know this is just a test, but if you're still fiddling around with it, I would leave a little more room for her muscles/organs. Just a teeny bit.

@Tyson-Ranes I'm getting mixed reviews within my family & close friends wether I should share this with friend and possible client for a diving children's book. I really want to share it with her but am hesitant do to mixed reviews. Should I share or not share ?

I love it! Her expression not only with her face but even her body strongly suggests sadness. Unless you were going for another expression I think you've done an amazing job!
