I did this quick study to test some brushes / techniques in Photoshop. Went for the cute look, but I like to think she would drag anyone under like any true mermaid.

I did an illustration of a mermaid about a year ago, I called it "The Queen of Mermaid". It is the first illustration of a supposed to be a series of a fantasy illustration of half human and half animal self-project. Unfortunately, I still not able to continue the project, but I still look forward to make this happen. So for now, I try to post it as an entry for the mermay contest
