Here is a Scifi Mermaid I did for MerMay in my Sketchbook; digital version to come.
I still have to work out her back story, I think I could have a lot of fun exploring mermaids in space. I already have another idea for a Whale like Guardian.

@Lee-White well I been meaning to do a mermaid piece all month. I got the idea already in my mind, now just need to do it. I think the challenge with a pay off will motivate me to find some spear time to work on something personal. I like the idea of a new monthly challenge.

I love the idea of a new monthly challenge, this is great. It's great that SVS is doing something new to encourage us to post and get involved in the social media side of things...I'll try to find the time to enter this.

Love the idea that the winner of each month's contest gets to illustrate the next one too! (wondering whether you'd need to stagger it, so that each winner gets enough time to do a decent illustration...I'm sure you'll figure it out though
