@tessw Thank you! I need a platform on which to take the courses that matches exactly. I am not advanced enough technologically to adapt to another programming. I want to learn exactly what Will is teaching, at the moment, but have finally realized that I need to follow his recipe to the letter. Later I may be more grounded. I haven't yet run into anything that is 10 dollars for Photoshop, but maybe I will.

@anthony-keyes Then in that case, I would go with photoshop, though I also think there is a course for Procreate.

You can get a monthly subscription to photoshop and lightroom for $9.99. It's under the photography plan on their website. https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/plans.html?single_app=photoshop&promoid=B16P41VJ&mv=other

You should actually look into Rebelle if you don't want to invest in the monthly PS payment planI use almost more than PS these days and it is a one time purchase that is far cheaper. The painting engine is light years ahead of PS

Everybody, thank you very much for helping me. I received the answer that I needed. I am so new at this realm of the art world, that I previously didn't even know what questions to ask. I'm getting there in baby steps, and I appreciate your support. I will take all this information, join Ps to my subscription, and inch my way along.

@tessw One more question, if you can. My options say "Creative Cloud Photography Plan" for one year. It has Photoshop and Lightroom, 2GB of storage, and companion mobile apps, for 10.62 a month...from what I previously said I wanted to do, is this to what you were referring?

Yes, that's the one. You only need to use Photoshop for art purposes. You get Lightroom in that package too, but that's basically just for tweaking photography. I think that's the best deal for the full version of Photoshop.
