Trying out a new style - what do you think

Hi,

I wanted to try out a simpler style for doing some T-shirt designs. I thought of a few ideas based on my parents black lab.

For this one I wanted to capture the moment when you think he is all curled up and sleeping but as soon as you move his eyes open just to check nothing exciting is happening.

So my main ideas where suspicious/excited dog, simple and bright colours.

What do you think of this style/the image? I don't usually do text so if anyone has any feedback/ideas on that?
