Nice work. You've been really improving congrats on the progress. Watercolor is very challenging (at least for me) Looks like you are getting the hang of it.

Hi Marsha, I'm wondering if you'd be up for a critique? I see that you are finished and often when people reach this stage they are understandably reluctant to have someone monkeying around with their art. But - if you want me to help I'm here 🙂

@marsha-kay-ottum-owen This is great, my eye was a bit confused at first with the window, I thought it was the outside part of the picture. Still think it's awesome though.

@will-terry I would be honored! True, I am reluctant because I worked really hard on it but I know that I can ALWAYS improve! I have to turn it in tomorrow so I won't be making any changes for the class assignment but, I am open and very grateful to hear what you have to say. There are a few things I think I could work on and I would like to see if any of them are the same as your thoughts too. I know that any time I post on this forum I will almost certainly get some feedback that causes me more work 🙂 That's what happens when you post among talented artists!

I will be starting a new one this week so maybe I can use your pointers on that one 🙂

@will-terry Thank you! I see what you mean. What a difference! I was using resources and following them exactly instead of considering their position and how it would affect the composition! I always have trouble with perspective but...my teacher actually suggested the background and watched me draw it! I guess he's more concerned with teaching painting techniques in this particular class. I'll post the thumbnails for my next one and get feedback sooner! That table was bothering me a lot and felt wrong. (it's also challenging for me to work on big paper (22 x 30) so much space to fill with big objects 🙂 I'm used to smaller formats.

Here are a couple of the resources I used.
